Party on a Platter
Policies
Lead Time
Please call us to set up an in-home consultation at least three weeks prior to your event.
Consultation
This preliminary meeting gives us a chance to see your space and for you to ask questions. It’s the perfect time to talk theme and pick choices of entertainment and food. Once you’ve selected a package and any add-ons, we’ll email you an invoice (usually within 24 hours) detailing any special requests and your nonrefundable 50 percent deposit.
Deposit
After receiving the invoice, you have 2 days to log onto our website and click on the “Payment” tab at the top. Here, you can privately and easily enter your debit or credit card number. In order to quickly mail out invitations, we also ask that you email us your guest list with complete addresses at this time. Please note that we will not start work on a party until we receive a deposit.
Cancellation
If you cancel the party, you lose your deposit. If you wish to reschedule the event, which will result in an extra charge, please let us know as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate your schedule. In the case of an unforeseen disaster, e.g. a tornado, flood, epidemic, act of terrorism, others acts of God or government, neither party is responsible and the party will be rescheduled or the deposit refunded.
Inclement Weather
Most parties can easily be moved inside in case of rain. If you ordered an add-on that’s strictly meant for outside, such as the petting zoo or a moonwalk, we’ll have to follow the vendors’ policies in terms of payment.
Remaining Balance
Your remaining balance is to be paid on the day of the party. A 10 percent surcharge will be added to balances not paid within 5 days of event. Again, we prefer that clients use our online payment option as opposed to a check.
Insurance
Party on a Platter is insured in case of accidents and damages caused by our party hosts. If a guest suffers an injury on your property, your homeowner’s insurance will cover the mishap.
Travel Fee
A fuel surcharge of $35 will be applied to parties outside of the following Georgia counties: Cobb, DeKalb, Gwinnett, Forsyth and Fulton.
Food
We do not have a commercial kitchen, so we use reliable vendors for cupcakes, cakes and catering. Please notify us of any food allergies at the initial consultation.
Party Property
Your guests are welcome to the food and favors, but Party on a Platter will have to charge for any costumes or decorations taken.
Photography
Pictures taken by the party hosts are the property of Party on a Platter and may be used in our promotional materials.
Licensed Characters
Legally, we are not allowed to host parties with a copyrighted character as the theme.
